Accessibility Statement

Monbat Energy Holding GmbH is committed to making monbatenergy.com accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. This statement applies to all language versions of monbatenergy.com.

Applicable standard

We design, build and test this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is the web accessibility level referenced in the European standard EN 301 549.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The known limitations are listed below, together with what we are doing about them.

What we have implemented

  • Semantic structure: every page uses standard landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) and a logical heading order.
  • Skip link: a “Skip to content” link lets keyboard and screen reader users bypass the navigation.
  • Keyboard access: navigation, buttons, forms and the cookie consent banner can be operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Colour contrast: text and interface elements meet the WCAG contrast ratios of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
  • Text alternatives: informative images have descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Forms: all form fields have visible, programmatically linked labels, and errors are shown as text next to the relevant field.
  • Zoom: content remains readable and usable at 200% browser zoom.
  • Language: each language version declares its language, so screen readers use the correct pronunciation.

Known limitations

  • Homepage background video. The hero section plays a short decorative background video on a loop, without sound. It carries no information that is not also presented as text on the page. The video does not currently offer a pause control, which does not fully meet WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.2.2 (Pause, Stop, Hide). Visitors who have enabled reduced motion in their operating system settings see a static image instead.
  • Footer social media icons. On desktop, the social media links in the footer are smaller than the recommended touch target size.
  • PDF datasheets. Some product datasheets in PDF format may not be fully accessible to screen readers. On request, we will send you the information in an accessible format.
  • Third-party services. The EMS live demo, the Client Portal and the appointment booking calendar are provided by third-party platforms. Their accessibility is outside our direct control, but we report any issues we are made aware of to the providers.
